I called Wilson so they could come out since I had just had both inside and outside units replaced by them in 2012 and was told I have a 10 year warranty. Once they pulled me up in their system she said I would be charged for any services and repair because I did not call them TWICE each year to maintenance my units. Why would I want to pay TWICE every year for maintenance when I only use my unit 7 months out of the year? So that was their excuse not to honor my warranty. Nowhere in my warranty did it state that. So I said I will figure it out myself I'm not paying you again. Luckily I was able to do research watch some videos and figure out that the capacitor needed to be changed. Once I did that and turned it back on it worked. If I had to call an AC company it would not have been them making a dime off of me. That was pretty shady of them. Not one thing stated they must be called twice each year to do maintenance. SMH Think before using this company because once you have an issue they will find an excuse not to honor what they said from the beginning. There are lots of companies that are good once the money is being put into their hands. Once the work is done they don't want to honor warranties because no money is being thrown at them again. "

Two months ago our A/C unit finally crashed. We called Wilson and A-Star came to the house. Long story short, we purchased a brand-new complete heat and air system from A-Star. Last Friday our brand-new A/C quit because of a coil leak. The technician told us it would be Monday before he would know if they had a replacement part and A-Star charged us $150 for the after hours service call. Monday arrived only to find out the part had to be ordered. Now it is Thursday evening as I write this and we have been without air conditioning for almost a week. Numerous phone calls were made asking for a manager to call us back. No one has returned our calls. It is obvious to us that A-Star just doesn't care. We have filed a complaint with Trane. We are now posting on as many social media sites as we can. We have found numerous recent complaints about A-Star. Whatever deal that Wilson made with A-Star I hope it was worth it. Because evidently Wilson's customers are suffering as a result. Wilson's customer service used to be top-notch until A-Star came along. Does Wilson care anymore? Sincerely. Nick returned a panic text in the evening and listened to determine that I could get a tech out the next day. Followed up as promised. My AC is still on it's last lap but the summer was saved. No pressure of an ultimatum of buying a new unit or other unnecessary services given the age and other circumstances. Professional. Efficient and Trustworthy are the 3 words that come to mind. Customer service is not dead yet."

Based on sound, technician determined I need a new unit The refrigerant was low, instead of putting refrigerant, he said it's low because it's leaking and suggested I pay $6800 for a new unit. Because he didn't like my line of questioning, he became irritated and said he would arrange for a full refund and left without performing the service that was prepaid. Very unprofessional and childish.. "

He found the expansion valve was not working properly. I would think a difficult thing to find. He will order a new valve and install it when it comes in. The work was good, but the accident of falling through the ceiling kind of hurt's a 5 star rating. They did a good job cleaning up the insulation that fell out of the attic in the inside of my house, but they did a fair to poor job removing it from my garage. Because they were trying to repair a slow leak I won't know if it is fixed for 4 to 6 weeks."
